Why you should work with Causer
Chanda Causer
Founder and CEO
Chanda Causer, a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience, has a diverse background in coaching, project management, team building, and community organizing. Her extensive experience spans both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, including Main Street Alliance, Leadership on Civil and Human Rights, Honest Tea, and Leadership for Educational Equity. As an executive coach, she has successfully worked with burgeoning executives and seasoned leaders, enhancing their strategy, management, and overall confidence. She has trained over 2,500 leaders, managed virtual and in-person teams, and organized multi-million dollar campaigns for communities of color.
Community organizing is the foundation of Chanda’s expertise. She worked on political and union campaigns in the late 1990s and early 2000s, including the Industrial Areas Foundation in North Carolina. There, Chanda built broad-based, multiracial, interfaith, multi-issue relationships rooted in understanding the concept of power. She performed a county-wide school audit and ensured that the school board addressed over 90% of the items within six months; organized and won a living wage campaign to attract Dell corporation to the state; and solved a multi-million dollar budget gap to save a regional hospital providing indigent care.
Chanda's coaching journey began in 2007, supporting recent graduates in the field of social justice. In 2017, she expanded her reach to national clients and community leaders. Her coaching style focuses on robust management practices and unconventional DEI strategies. Drawing from her experience as an executive director, Chanda brings a unique blend of personal leadership knowledge and learning to her coaching work, enabling her to assist high-level leaders in planning their future and advancing their careers.
Chanda is a mom of three, spouse, home life manager, and friend to a few. She enjoys wine and thinks about exercising while streaming shows. Chanda is also an avid hiker, photographer, and nonfiction enthusiast but will read anything by Fredrik Bachman.
